Dinner is Ready

Ohhhh...I am impressed (and hungry): displaying daily-in-the-life blogging skills (even text wrapped around a photo) and everyday culinary skills. I've never had this dish, do left overs make for a good breakfast?
Yum,,,,I'm a sucker for anything dairy and/or starchy, so this pretty much sounds like my perfect meal. (except for the cooked broccoli....blech. I don't do cooked veggies!)
wow, that's making me drool. it sounds awesome. is that a mild or a sharp kind of cheese?
I wouldn't have thought to try it cold for breakfast, but it would most certainly rank higher than other items tried for breakfast during the university days. Not being able to resist, it turns out to taste much like potato salad the next morning and never made it as far as getting reheated for lunch.
Then this is definitely your week for dinners here! Tonight was spaghetti carbonara and later this week will be french bread dipped in cheese fondue. Pancetta in the carbonara OK or does that need to go the way of the cooked broccoli?

It is a mild creamy cheese that is medium soft. St. Nectaire is also used for this dish, but has a stronger taste I do not care for. Neither one is particularly easy to find outside France. I know that Say Cheese in the SIlverlake neighborhood of Los Angeles and The Pasta Shop on 4th street in Berkeley would both have it.
oh man... sounds wonderful (but then, i've never met a cheese i didn't like). too bad i don't live in LA... i wonder if it would work with a nice fresh mozzarella....
No, I love pancetta. Nice and crispy, please. (I admit, I get a little gagged out by eggs, but I can live with it here!)
I can only assume that this is that noisy dish that your global friends heard you preparing during the conference call last Friday...... ;]
Everyone is always welcome to meet here!
